Why We Built This
Running a trade business in the UK is harder than it looks from the outside. You’re doing the work, quoting the jobs, chasing invoices, answering calls, ordering materials, and somewhere in between all of that you’re supposed to be marketing yourself too.
TradeStack HQ is a small, independent site built on one idea: go and find out what real UK tradespeople are actually saying about the tools they use, then check every price and feature directly against the provider before publishing a word. Every guide is grounded in that research and verified by hand, not copied from a spec sheet or another review site.
How We Research and Verify Every Guide
Step 1
Start with real tradesperson complaints
Every guide starts by reading live UK trade Facebook groups and subreddits to see what real sole traders are actually struggling with, not what a software vendor assumes they need.
Step 2
Verify pricing directly, every time
We check every price against the provider's own UK pricing page at the time of writing. If a price has moved since publishing, we correct it rather than leave stale numbers up.
Step 3
Cross-check features against documentation
Feature claims are drawn from each provider's own documentation and, where available, free trial sign-ups, rather than repeated from other review sites.
Step 4
Draft with AI, fact-check by hand
Guides are drafted with AI assistance so we can cover every trade properly, not just the popular ones. Every price, feature claim, and recommendation is checked by hand before it's published, not left to generate itself.
Step 5
Say when something isn't worth it
We're supported by affiliate links, but we don't accept payment for a positive review and we don't run sponsored placements dressed up as independent advice. If a tool isn't right for UK tradespeople, the guide says so.
